A woman in blue scrubs entered the room from the hallway and checked one last time for John Ang\u2019s pulse, feeling nothing but a limp wrist between her fingers and a hollow jugular vein in his neck. She lazily jotted down the date and time, walking over to the screen on the wall and tapping away at it to notify the morgue techs in the basement of their new client.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the television screen across the room, a news anchor warned viewers of rising tensions both within and without the country finally coming to a head. His makeup was sloppy and his eyes were reddened.
