Past/Present Exhibit: A Photo Essay
By Kaleb Guzman, Assistant Photo Editor

The Past and Present exhibition celebrates Pellissippi State Community College’s 50-year anniversary showing off all kinds of art. Here are some highlights of the many beautiful pieces that were displayed during the week-long event.

A Collection of Works by Michael Rose

A blacksmith whose work has been featured at Dollywood and previous Professor of Fine Arts at Pellissippi State Community College from 2007-2015, Rose describes his work as “a combination of traditional blacksmithing and sculptural expression… The result [of my pieces] is defined as much by what the viewer brings to the experience as the presentation itself.”

“Byrd House Burning” by Anna Halliwell Gianferante

This piece by Anna Halliwell Gianferante is a unique digital print, displaying a burning house that is printed interestingly onto the canvas.
