Giving Blood with Medic Regional: A Photo Essay

Giving Blood with Medic Regional: A Photo Essay
By Kaleb Guzman, Photo Editor

On November 20, 2024 Medic Regional and Pellissippi State partnered to host a blood drive in Goins Administration building.  Many students arrived to do their part giving blood; all they had to do was walk into the college center, fill out some paperwork and then they were set up with a seat.

The skilled workers would talk with the students while they got everything prepped and ready, and once the student was comfortable, they’d find a vein. After that, it was a waiting game. Once the blood bag was filled, the students were treated with a band-aid and, just like that, they were free to leave.

Pellissippi State hosts blood drives on its campuses every semester. Organizers say that a greater turn-out of students and staff translates into more help for those in need.
