Why are you going, love?
Youโre off to a place
I cannot follow.
Iโm stuck, watching as you
Fly and fly away,
Left to heal what slowly gets shattered.
My heart. My body. My soul.
Our stars no longer align;
Youโre in a galaxy far away.
Where do I go?
Why, I must stay;
I cannot go with you.
Why canโt I go?
Go to the galaxy where
I see life, I see the water, I see the sun.
Why must I stay so far
In this place of grim, of fog, of mud?
Youโre going to a galaxy far away.
And me?
Where do I go, love?
For I canโt follow you,
Nor do I think you want me to.
I watch from the ground,
Looking up at the moon.
Can you see the same moon as I do
In your galaxy far away?
